Recycling with Terracycle (Step 3)

May 27 2016

The Planeteers Club was formed to reduce landfill waste.  We collect hard to recycle items and ship them to Terracycle, where they are processed.

Summary

We began a Planeteers club to collect Terracycle items for recycling.  Sudents collect waste from various classrooms, staff lounge, students eating lunch on the patio, and from home. We ship the waste to Terracycle for upcycling and/or recycling.  Students are divided into squads for each day of the week and they help collect waste at lunchtime.  Some squads also collect after school and work to help fold and package the waste.
