SummaryAfter a year's worth of hard work, students were fortunate to attend a field trip sponsored by The County of San Mateo RecycleWorks Program to see how Blue Line Transfer Station (South San Francisco Scavenger) processes the waste, compost and recyclables that they receive from the students' homes and their school. It was a wonderful culminating activity and students learned a great deal. It really provided them with an inspiring insight as to why we do what we do to reduce landfill waste. As a result, students were intrigued and motivated to continue striving to be green!
The Planeteers' Club was also awarded a Green Star Schools Classroom Certificate for all their hard work. FilesPhotos
