Action Project:

Create a Water Action Plan for San Mateo County Schools

Brief Description of the Project

With the guidance of a teacher or an adviser, students work together in teams to create an Action Plan based on results from the Water Worksheet and Classroom Water Assessment. The Action Plan describes how students will encourage each other and their families to use less water daily, and minimize impacts on local waterways and the environment.

Full Project Description

In general, the Action Plan will:

  • Identify barriers to making improvements, and propose solutions.
  • State how students will “Take Action.”
  • State the students’ responsibilities related to water conservation and watershed protection in and out of the classroom.
