Certification Process

Currently, GSS Certification applies to San Mateo County schools only.

We would love to offer GSS certification to every County in California! Please contact us to get your County involved.

For Classrooms

To certify your classroom, please signup your classroom, so you can report and share your results and showcase your CO2 reductions on the GSS leaderboard.

If you have already signed up your classroom, go to Projects and Tools and complete the action projects required for each of the 5 steps in the certification process.

 

  

For Schools

To certify your school, please visit the School Certification page and download the checklist for each of the five steps. Once all five checklists have been completed and saved in pdf form, upload them to the website and they will be sent to GSS administrators for approval. To certify your district, please visit the District Certification page and download the checklist for each of the five steps.
