Students create poetry and art about water conservation and pollution prevention to educate others.
Full Project Description
Students create poetry and art to be put on display to educate others in their community about water conservation and pollution prevention.
For teachers who want to submit their students’ work to a contest:
Each year, the St. Mary’s College of California - Center for Environmental Literacy holds an international youth art and poetry contest for contestants aged 5 to 19. Students will create art or write poetry about their local watershed, and their teacher will submit their work collectively to the contest. Finalists and winners may have their work displayed on the St. Mary’s River of Words website.
