Water Quality Test
Brief Description of the Project
Students test water quality at a local creek or other small body of water.
Full Project Description
Teachers take their class to a local creek and, in small groups, students will collect samples of the creek water. Students will take turns testing the quality of the creek water for different variables such as pH and dissolved oxygen and will present their findings to the class or to another class. Students may also inform their local government or local water protection agency of their findings. EarthEcho International sells Basic and Classroom Test Kits which include instruction booklets in Spanish or English.
