Recycling Baseline Assessment

April 20 2017

The class did the Green Star Schools Classroom Waste Baseline Assessment

Summary

The class did the GSS Classroom Waste Baseline Assessment.

The class conducted a waste assessment as part of a lesson from their Unit of Study for the NGSS San Mateo Environmental Learning Collaborative (https://tenstrands.org/san-mateo-elc/) and analyzed trash and recycling within their classroom. Through the assessment students also determined that they needed to recycle plastic containers and cans in the classroom and they needed to label the classroom trash and recycling bins.
